....A TRIP TO CALVARY....
WHAT I NEEDED TO KNOW
In my pain and desperate despair, My Loving Father took my hand and He led me there... To the only place that I could be forever changed... My life and my future, to be divinely rearranged.
He took me to a place to show me ones ultimate pain, Where my Saviors blood and tears fell like rain. To a place called Calvary, along time ago, He wanted to show me , what I needed to know.
...This is what I saw...
With each crack of the whip, His flesh fell to the ground, My redeemer just stood there, hardly making a sound. His eyes showed determination, He knew what had to be done, His blood He had to give, for our redemption to fully come.
I watched the soldiers mock and scorn my King... The Lamb of God, in His agony, didn't do a thing, I watched as they placed a crown of thorns on His head. Not a hateful, angry word out of His mouth was said.
I cried a river, as I saw my Jesus's face, I cried out for Him, when the nails were put in place... He looked into my eyes, as He hung on the tree... And these are the words.....
... He spoke to me...
"My beloved...your Father wanted you so, Don't ever forget...don't ever let go, For in your misery...He has a great plan, You will come through in victory...if you just hold on to His hand.
~
In your many afflictions, you have much hope, FOR IF YOU CALL UPON ME...I WILL BREAK EVERY YOKE! "Persecution you can count on, it will surely come, Temptation... there is bound to be some, Guard your heart and also your mind, For sin and bitterness will leave you blind."
"Every morning when you arise.... Let this vision you have seen, fill your eyes," "Pick up your cross and stay true to the end... And when you fall...I'll pick you up and you can try again." "You have not been forsaken...Keep your head high," In this you can rest assured... You are worth all that I have endured,"
Then He hung His head and died... ........once again...
"I had always heard what he had done for me, But now I truly feel it, now I truly see... God in the flesh, He walked in my place... He felt real pain, And He suffered the same. Although mine doesn't even begin to compare... My Jesus, my Savior... has also been there...
...And beyond
Oh, Lord change me and mold me, give me a heart that's pure... I don't want to be angry and bitter anymore, Quick to love, slow to anger and wrath... I lay myself down to receive a blood bath. The Blood of Jesus to wash me as white as snow!
